She was a lovely person, kind and gentle, Always interested in the young crowd. All the friends called in every Monday to tell about their friends. She loved movies. She loved books, especially the love scenes in the books. She'd mark off the love scene pages for her grandchildren to read. She used to knit socks. She used to wear nice clothes. She loved to dress up. Did all her own housework, but had daughters to help. She was a "lady" and didn't do too much work. No servant, but her daughters did the work. She sat out in her chair. She'd supervise everything. She was warm and affectionate. She used to cook the dinner and used to stand at the top of the table to carve up the meat. She always had a bird, a canary.
