She is mentioned in the register book of the funeral directorTimothy O'Callaghan, in possession of Frank Howard, as:
Mary Steel Church Hill died 22/4/28 habit, coffin, hearse, motor and priest to Old Church Cem aged 95 years 11 pounds and 10 shillings. paid.

Ivy Mostyn Desmond has a picture of her. Ivy last saw her in 1928 just before leaving Ireland. Mary had a big black kettle on an open hearth. She used to give her great-grandchildren tastes of cabbage on a plate for a treat. In 1991, Ivy can still remember how good it used to taste! She wore a little white apron and white lace cap on her head. She did crochet. She had lots of antiques. She died in 1928 at age 96. She belonged to the Order of St. Francis, and so was laid out in a brown shroud. It scared Ivy.
