Birth Record #539, Suwalki:
This took place in the town of Suwalki on 5 Dec 1885 at 1 pm. Personally came Klemens Zylinski, farmer residing in the town of Suwalki age 32 and in the presence of Antoni Mikulski age 44 and Wladyslaw Szczerbinski age 46, both farmers residing in the town of Suwalki, presented to us a female child who was born in the town of Suwalki on 25 November of the current year (1885) at 6 am from his legitimate wife Franciszka née Karpowicz, age 31. This child by the holy baptism performed today by the Rev. Jozef Ciszewski was named Scholastyka and the godparents were Jan Bielski and Joanna Karpowicz. The document was read to the illiterate informant and the witnesses and it was signed only by us. Rev. A. Makowski.

1903 -Ship’s Passenger List of the S.S. Bulgaria sailing from Hamburg on 4 Jul 1903 , arriving at the port of New York on 18 Jul 1903, list 15 line :

Scholastika Zylinska, 16, female, single, no occupation, not able to read and write, a resident of Russia, Hebrew race, last residence Suwalk, final destination Newark, New Jersey, did not have a ticket to final destination, brother paid for her passage, had no money, never in the US before, going to join her brother, Boleslaw Zylinska in Newark, NJ, never in prison, not a polygamist or anarchist, in good health, not crippled.

1906 - Married on Sep 3. The marriage record #342, states:

Husband: Alexander Tanajewski, of 63 Monroe St, 22, first marriage, white, a laborer, born Poland, Russia, father Adam, mother Mary Kaczenska
Wife: Scholastica Zielinska, of 63 Monroe St, 18, first marriage, white, born Poland, Russia, father Clement, mother Francisca Karpowicz.
Married in Newark, NJ on 3 Sep 1906. Witnesses: Romuald Karpowicz (probably a relative because Scholastyka’s mother was a Karpowicz) and Peter Garynt.

1930 - Listed in the US Census in New York, King’s County, Borough of Brooklyn, taken April 5, 1930, e.d. 24-1010, sheets 5A&B lines 49-51 living at 643 4th Ave as:
Tanarjewski [sic] Alex, head of household, owned his home worth $8,000, not living on a farm, male, white, married, married at age 20, did not attend school, can read and write, born Poland, both parents born Poland, mother tongue Polish, immigrated in 1904, a naturalized citizen, able to speak English, a woodworker in the body builder business, working for wages, actually at work yesterday
Tanarjewski [sic] Scholastica, wife, female, white, 41, married, married at age 17, did not attend school, can read and write, born Poland, both parents born Poland, mother tongue Polish, immigrated in 1903, a naturalized citizen, able to speak English, no occupation
Tanarjewski [sic] Blanche, daughter, female, white, 17, single, attended school, able to read and write, born New Jersey, both parents born Poland, able to speak English, a clerk for an insurance company, working for wages, actually at work yesterday
