Carroll clergyman, of 1824 N 7th St. The marriage is also recorded at Philadelphia City Archives, film 237, LDS #1,769,062, returns of ministers, 2d Qtr, 1877, Rev'd W.R. Carroll, Episcopal Church, married 19 Apr 1877 Edward White, manufacturer, res. Phila, born Scotland, 25, and Ann Richards, res. Phila., born NJ, 19, white.

1879-Her son, Edward White III, was born 7 Feb in Philadelphia.

1910-She is listed in the US Census taken on 19 Apr 1910 at the National Archives, film T624 roll 1403, PA, Phila Co, City of Philadelphia, 21st Ward, e.d. 721 sheet 6A line 8 as: Anna White, wife, white, female, 48, married for 31 years, the mother of 1 child still living, born NJ, father born Germany with German as his native tongue, mother born Germany with German as her native tongue, native language English, no profession, can read, can write, renting her home at 2319 E York St, Phila, living with her husband, Edward White, 56, and son, Edward White, 29. Her son, Edward White, is listed in the 1910 census twice, the other time with his own wife and son!

1911-She made her will on 13 Nov. Her will is summarized as:
1st -pay just debts and funeral expenses
2nd -give to niece Maud Reager (nee Van Meter) all jewelry and clothing except her solitaires, which form part of her Estate
3rd -residue of her estate to be converted into money and held in trust as follows:
A-pay the net income to her husband for his natural life
B- upon the death of her husband, pay out of the principal:
1-to son, Edward White Jr [E3] $1,000 absolutely
2-to Maude Reager (nee Van Meter) $1,000 absolutely
3-to nephew Edward White Reichardt $1,000 absolutely
4-to nephew Elmer Saint Clair White $1,000 absolutely
C-all the residue of the principal to be distributed in equal parts to the children of her son Edward White Jr [E3] and to the issue of such children, share and share alike, such issue to take by representation the share of their deceased parents.
4th -if her husband dies during her lifetime, the legacies to Maud Reager, Edward White Reichardt and Elmer Saint Clair White shall be paid out of the estate, and all the remainder of the estate shall be held in trust by the Executor to pay the entire net income arising therefrom to her son Edward White Jr [E3] for the term of his natural life, and after his decease to pay the principal in equal shares to all his children who may be living at the time of his death, and to the issue of any deceased child, by right of representation.
5th -executor is to sell any real estate she may own
6th -Emmett O'Neill and the Frankford Trust Co are co-executors.

1915-Her husband died on 16 Mar and was buried at Mt Moriah Cemetery, Phila. They were living at 2309 East York St, Phila.

1930-Listed in the US census taken 29 Mar 1930, Pennsylvania, roll 2106, Philadelphia county, e.d. 876, sheet 15A, Philadelphia ward 23, line 5 as Anna J [sic] White, head of household, owned her home worth $7000, owned a radio, female, white, 63, widow, did not attend school during the year, able to read and write, born New Jersey, both parents born Germany, able to speak English, no occupation, living alone at 1104 Harrison St, Philadelphia.

1934 -She died on 1 Nov and was buried in the White family plot at Mt Moriah Cemetery, Phila, section 17, lot 15. According to the records of Mt Moriah Cemetery, at the Penna. Historical Society, Phila, film 777:3, she was buried at Mt Moriah on 3 Nov, age 73, buried section 17, lot 15, NW corner, permit #112455, head & new metal. Her death certificate states: Reg. Dist. #300, Primary Reg. Dist. #51, File #97980, Reg. #21516, Anna White of 1104 Harrison St, Ward 23, Phila, died at home on 1 Nov 1934, female, white, widowed, husband was Edward White, Sr, date of birth - don't know, age 73, a housewife, born in NJ, father - don't know, father's birthplace - don't know, mother - don't know, mother's birthplace - don't know, informant - Edward White, Jr of 1322 Wakeling St, Phila, Dr J Herbert Tinsman? MD of 1210 Harrison St, attended her from 10 May 1932 to 1 Nov 1934 and last saw her alive on 1 Nov 1934, death occurred at 1:25 pm, cause of death was diabetes mellitus for 10 years, also cerebral arteriosclerosis for 2 years, no operation before death, no autopsy, blood sugar and urine tests confirmed the diagnosis, buried at Mt Moriah Cem on 3 Nov 1934, undertaker Wm. S. Race of 1223 Arrow? Carroll? St, Fkd, filed 3 Nov 1934.

-Philadelphia Inquirer, Friday, 2 Nov 1934, p 28, col 6:
WHITE.-Of 1104 Harrison st., Fkd, on 1 Nov, Anna B. (nee Reichardt), wife of the late Edw. White, Sr., aged 74 years. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services, Sat., 1 pm from Parlors of William T. Rose, 1223 Arrott st, Fkd. Interment private. Mt Moriah Cemetery. Friends may call Fri evening from 8 to 10.

-Her will and estate papers are on file at the Phila Will Archives, 401 N Broad St, will #3587, 1934.
-Petition for Probate of the Estate of Anna B White by Frankford Trust Co, Executor, of will dated 13 Nov 1911 shows that she died at the Frankford Hospital on 1 Nov 1934 at 1 PM, she was a resident of 1104 Harrison St, Phila, the other named executor, Emmett O'Neill has renounced [refused to be an executor]. Her personal property was estimated at $25,000 and real estate estimated at $100. Filed 15 Nov 1924.

-She was living at 1104 Harrison St, Frankford, ward 23, Phila. Her personal property subject to county tax was worth $1,000. She had Laclede Gas Light Co Refunding & Extension Mortgage 5% Gold Bond valued at $952.50 acquired 5/1/1906. Her total inventory was $40,307.2, with the accrued income the final total was $41,263.93. Her funeral expenses from William T. Rose were $447.25 plus $95 for a headstone. The expenses of administration of her estate amounted to $3,432.70. She owned 1104 Harrison St, Phila, subject to a first mortgage of $5,000.

-There was an ENORMOUS inventory of her assets, including:
player piano, chairs, rolls, victrola, clock, 2 wicker rockers, RCA radiola (combination radio and victrola), sewing machine, antlers head, bird cage, vacuum cleaner, music cabinet, cuckoo clock, 16 pairs eyeglasses, woman's gold watch and chain worth $1200, men's gold watch and chain worth $36, diamond earrings worth $225, solitaire diamond ring worth $140, necktie pin of 4 small diamonds and 1 opal worth $6, loads of jewelry including pearls, gold teeth, emeralds, silver, earrings, bracelets, necklaces, pins, studs, loads more furniture, totaling $40,307.23, plus two pages full of savings accounts, bonds, notes, and securities.
