2nd Earl of Derby, or Earl of Ferrieres. Founded the Abbeys of Merevale, co. Warwick, and Darley, near Derby. Married Margaret, daughter and heiress of William Peverel of Nottingham, the younger. Robert de Ferrieres died before 1160 and was buried at Merevale Abbey.
