His father was King of Thomond until his death in 1466. Then the Kingship passed to his uncle, Conchobhar Mor, until his death in 1496. Then the Kingship passed to another uncle, Toirdhealbhach Og, until his death in 1498. Then Torlogh Don was inaugurated King of Thomond in 1498. He remained king until his death in 1528.
