She bore five sons to Cucorb including Cairpre Cluthicar, who settled in Owney. King Cucorb had a charioteer with whom Queen Eithne eloped. His name was Laidir; he is described as esquire to the king. The pair fled in a chariot. She bore to Laidir four sons; Diola, Toica, Euna, and Orta. From Diola are descended the Ui Ualacan, or O'Holohans. From Toice, the second son, are descended Ailbe of Emly and Scuthin of Ruscoffin in Ossory. The chief settlement of the descendants of Laidir and Eithne was in the barony of Coonagh, west of Cashel, on the borders of Tipperary and LImerick, but another settlement was made near Nenagh to the north.96
