There was a 26 year drought and resulting famine. He sent his uncle, Ithe with his son, Lugahaidh (Luy) to investigate Ireland. Ithe was killed by the rulers of Ireland. His son brought his body back to Spain. The Spaniards invaded Ireland to avenge Ithe's death, but Milesius died before the invasion occurred. His eight sons by his two wives carried out the invasion, but five of them died in battle.
