Cokayne's "Complete Peerage" (Boteler, p. 231), calls him Lord of Bromfield, Dinas Bran, and Yale (now co. Denbigh), i.e. of Lower Powis. The article on Tuchet (p.56 and note k), says he ruled the two Maelors, east and west of the River Dee, in the second half of the reign of KING HENRY III.
Per John Davies "A History of Wales", he was ruler of Powys Fadog from 1216 to 1258. Upon his death, the region came under the direct control of Llewelyn II, Prince of North Wales
