Maolruanna O'Heyne, a king of the south Galway region, was slain in 1014. [At Clontarf?] His daughter, Mor, was the first wife of High King Brian Boru.
Daughter of Eidigeán of Uí Fhiachrach Aidhne, a tuath prince whose territory is represented by the present-day diocese of Kilmacduagh in south-western Co Galway, the land of the original rulers of much of Thomond. She was to bear him three sons at least, of whom Murchadh was to be his father's right-hand man in the years to come.
