From "Debrett's Kings and Queens of Britain" by David Williamson, ISBN 0-86350-101-X, p. 18:
The East Anglian kings were known as the Wuffings from Wuffa, whom Roger of Wendover, a 13th century historian, reckoned as the first king reigning from about 571-578.
From "In Search of the Dark Ages" by Michael Wood, ISBN 0-8160-1686-0, 1987, p 62:
In a manuscript in the British Museum, now catalogued as Cotton Vespasian B VI, the genealogies of the Anglo-Saxon royal families are preserved. The founder of the East-Anglian dynasty is called Wuffa, and his descendants were the Wuffingas [possibly 'the Wolf people']. Their ancestors probably came from Sweden. Wuffa lived in the 6th century. Sometimes Wuffa's father, Wehha is said to have been the first of the East Angles who ruled in Britain, and this may be true, though Wuffa seems to have been viewed as the founder of the dynasty.
