. "Ennae Cennselach, ancestor of the sept of Ui Chennselaig, one of the principal dynasties of Leinster in the historical period. As the ancestor from whom the Ui Chennselaig got their name, his existence can be regarded as reasonably certain, and he probably lived in the mid-fifth century. The official genealogies call him the son of Labraid Laidech, son of Bressal Belach, which would make him a first cousin of Dunlainge.
