The Priory of the Dominican Friar Preachers of Bangor, Carnarvonshire, was founded before 1276, and enlarged and rebuilt about 1299 by Tudur ap Goronwy of Penmynydd ancestor of the Royal House of Tudor, who was interred in the chapel of this establishment in 1311.
He built the Priory of Bangor, and did homage for his lands to King Edward I of England at Chester.60
