David Barry became 6th Lord Barry, Barrymore or Buttevant in 1347, upon the death of his father. He was a minor at the time. He was summoned to Parliament 22 Nov 1374, 48 Edw II to 25 Apr 1382, 5 Ric II, being on this last occasion fined 100s. for absence, for which he pleaded a pardon.
