HERVEY WALTER or HERVEUS WALTERI, was heir to Hubert Walteri, who is mentioned in the Sheriff’s accounts for cos. Norfolk and Suffolk, 3 HENRY II, 1156. Hervey Walter who died before 1190 granted a charter of lands in Wingfield, Suffolk, to the Church of St. Mary, Buthley which charter was confirmed by his son.
Cokayne's "Complete Peerage" (Butler, p.447). He owned large estates in Norfolk & Suffolk.
