p427 - only child and heiress of Capt Moses Ashe, Cromwell's Army, of Ballyline, co Clare.
Born about 1665, of Ballyline, Clare, Ireland, relative: Perry
Ballylinebeg was that portion of the present townland of Ballyline situated just south of the Ballyline River. The Fitzgibbons and Ashes were close neighbors, and this union produced one son, whom they called Maurice Fitzgerald, dropping the name Fitzgibbon then and thereafter.
