1913 - Her first husband, Adolph Jacobs, died of lobar pneumonia on 1 Nov. They were living at 168 O St, S Boston, MA.

She first married my great grandfather, Adolph Jacobs. He died & she married Harry Brown, with whom she was deeply in love. They had no children. She played piano and was a beautiful cook & housekeeper. When my mother, Marion Jacobs, and her cousin, Florence Jacobs, were little, they used to visit their Grandma and she had a child's table and two chairs for them. She always made rice custard pudding for my mother. She used to play the piano, especially "I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles" and my mother used to sing along. She lived in Troy, NY, South Boston, Braintree, and Dorchester. She was a seamstress for Conrad's, a high class department store in Boston. She and her husband owned their home in Braintree for awhile, but she became lonely in Braintree, so they moved back to Dorchester. My mother knew her and loved her very much.
