The family was living at 36 Lamb St, Spitalfields, in the East End of London.

1876 - His daughter, Sarah, married Judah Polak on 15 Mar in London. She was living at 9 Scarborough St at that time. He and the rest of the family were probably living there too, because from 1881 until his death I am certain he lived on Scarborough St.

1881 - He is listed in the 1881 English census, FHL film 823,379, London, Civil Parish of St Mary Whitechapel, Superintendent Registrar's District of Whitechapel, Subdistrict Goodmans Fields, Parliamentary borough of Tower Hamlets, e.d. 12, p 10, # of schedule [family] 171, as: Morris Bronkhorst, head, married, 66, diamond cutter, born Holland, living at 17 Scarborough St with his wife, Charlotte, and a servant, Elisa Clark. J. Allan, [something unreadable after his name], informant Benjamin Koster of 1 Newnham St, Whitechapel present at the death, registered 28 Jun 1883 by Richard Grace, Registrar. His obituary appeared in the "Jewish Chronicle" Friday, July 6, 1883, Tamuz 1, 5643. It states:
On the 28th June, at his residence, 17 Scarboro'-street, Goodman's Fields, MORRIS BRONKHORST, Deeply mourned by his wife, sons, and daughters.

1884 - He is listed in the London Commercial Directory as Bronkhorst Morris, diamond cutter, 33 Charles st. Hatton garden EC. The Directory was probably prepared before his death and published afterwards. There are two other Bronkhorsts listed, a Henry, diamond polisher at 23 Tredegar Sq E and Alfred, a cattle salesman, 6 Bank bldgs. Metrpltn. catl. mkt N. Henry is his oldest son. Alfred is probably related to Marcus, another cattlesalesman I found in London, but whether he is a relative or not I have no idea. Since Moses' father was a butcher, there certainly is a similarity in professions with Alfred and Marcus. Perhaps they are descendants of Moses's brother, Joseph, who lived in London, too. There is also a Mrs. Bronkhorst listed in the 1884 London Court Directory, p. 2139 at 61 Grosvenor Rd Highbry N. Is she his wife, Lea?
